Descripton

In October 2014, Veolia signed a six-year agreement with the Commonwealth of Australia, represented by the Department of Defence for a total waste management solution.

Mobilization included coordinating various groups to ensure,

• Ensure contract negotiations completed and contract executed
• All Defence facilities identified and audited
• Bins deployed
• Vehicles and equipment procured and deployed
• Contractual requirements for contract commencement meet (security, plans etc.)

Challanges

This project had several challenges including,

• Project sponsor that also delivered significant portions of the project
• Business unit not familiar with disciplined project delivery methodologies
