Descripton
Norske Skog engaged MIPAC to upgrade the existing control systems site wide from a number of legacy platforms to the Metso DNA DCS.
My role was Project Manager for the closeout phase of the project.
Included closeout items from the following process areas,
- TMP
- Boiler safety PLC upgrade
- Paper machine
Challanges
This project included several challenges, including,
- The closeout phase of the project (all outstanding defects and variations) was quoted on a lump sum basis
- Completing this work in parallel with other project works on the same site
