Descripton

Veolia manage water treatment on behalf of QGC for their Darling Downs coal seam gas fields.

My responsibilities on this contract included,

• Electrical Engineer responsible for contract establishment
• Operators engineer for Northern Plant design
• QGC – Veolia Joint Technical Team member

Challanges

There were many challenges on this project including,

• The treatment plants were design and constructed by a Veolia competitor (GE Water)
• Ongoing commercial disputes between Veolia client and the constructor
• Poor quality of plant design and construction
• Remote location of the sites
