Descripton

There are a number of treatment facilities located at Veolia's Woodlawn Eco-precinct. These include a landfill bioreactor, leachate treatment, power island, mechanical-biological treatment plant.

These treatment facilities have been constructed at different times to different standards without any view to integrating control systems.

This project related to scoping the integration of the various control systems on the site and improving the management of leachate and gas extraction from the landfill.

Challanges

This project had several challenges including,

• Various different control systems, largely undocumented
• Capital constrained operation
