Descripton

Shoalhaven City Council requested tenders for a waste processing facility to process municipal waste under a 20 year BOOT contract .

NOTE: Veolia withdrew from the tender at a late stage.

Challanges

Management of the design of this project included a number if challenges,

• Plant design need to be able to be augmented to 70,000 tpa and 85,000 tpa (from an initial 37,000)
• Technical approvals from global corporate Technical department
• Sourcing local D&C partner at short notice
• Small site

Accomplishments

Even though the tender was not submitted, a competitive tender design was developed which overcame numerous challenges and was inline with cost expectations.
